This area develops applied research on the use of information technologies for the analysis of urban inequalities and the improvement of territorial governance.

Public policy intelligence: Spatial, historical and economic assessment

Responsible: Dr. Carlos Marmolejo Duarte

Valuation studies at territorial, urban and real estate scales for residential, commercial, tertiary, industrial uses… Identification of externalities, physical characteristics affecting value, and specific techniques for each submarket.

Digital transformation and data-driven governance

Development of digital tools (BIM, GIS, virtual reality) for documentation, analysis and visualisation of heritage and territory.

Climate adaptation and health: Accelerating the energy transition of the built environment

Applied research on urban heat island, climate change adaptation from spatial planning, effects of extreme rainfall events, and design of climate shelters.

Urban design for health, well-being and social cohesion
